Laura Durand is a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. She is a member of Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) and an active member of the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Durand attended University of Tennessee – Knoxville focusing on health services and radiology.
Prior to starting Native Moon, Laura was involved with her family-owned restaurant, The Village. Laura was responsible for accounting, IT, and business management of the company.
Laura founded Native Moon based on the same principles that her parents instilled in her when operating the restaurant – Treat your customers with dignity and respect, give them a quality product, and develop long term relationships with employees, customers, and subcontractors.
